Founder After college, I spent ten years in Corporate America in one unhappy workplace after another, in a multitude of industries. I thought that the path to happiness for the workforce lay in aligning compensation and internal motivation, and became an "expert" in designing incentive compensation systems. I saw that this was only one piece of the puzzle and began studying systems thinking, seeking to increase happiness by encouraging learning at work. My desire to have a larger impact and become an advocate for healthy workplaces led me to law school, as a night student. After my exposure to the rigors of law school and observing the toll of law practice on many lawyers, I decided to focus my efforts on the legal profession. As part of my studies, I developed the 7 Purposes wellness model specifically for lawyers to understand and strive for balance and purpose. My article, Practicing on Purpose in the Law Firm, is featured in J. Kim Wright's ABA best-seller Lawyers as Peacemakers, as is the 7 Purposes wellness model.
